How to generate financial reports on Bookem

Bookem already allows you to export invoices, line items, and payments as spreadsheets. If you want more flexible reporting, head to reports. (Please note that reports are only visible to team members who have Admin rights)

1. In the main menu, go to Reports

2. You'll land on the overview page that displays a summary of financial and booking statistics.

4. You can either use one of the suggested reports, or create your own by clicking '+Create blank report'

5. Set your date range, filters and groupings

  • Click the eye icon to toggle which fields appear as column headings

  • Toggle to show tax inclusive or exclusive pricing

FAQ: Why are team members not assigned to older line items?

In 2024, Bookem launched a feature that automatically adds 'Associated Resources', e.g. 'Team Member' or 'Doctor', to invoices with bookings. Older line items may lack assigned team members, impacting reports, but this can be easily corrected. You can make retrospective corrections for invoices with no automatically associated team members

Note: This only works automatically if you're invoicing from a booking in your Bookem Calendar

How to make retrospective corrections for line items

Follow these steps:

1. Go to Account > Line items

2. Click on the line item missing an associated resource

3. Click on the booking on the invoice that opens up by clicking the pop out icon on the right

4. Now you can see which team member is associated with the booking

5. Close the booking and add the team member on the invoice field

Pro tip: If the team member field isn't visible on your invoice, just click the eye icon to toggle it to on

6. Click 'Save & close'
