How to add client profile fields

Client profile fields let you capture key information about a customer, such as their name or contact details. Your business has a set of standard fields included by default, you can add your own custom fields to collect any additional information you need.

Custom profile fields can be used throughout Bookem as variables - for example, in documents, sendable forms, automated messages or invoices.

You can reference client fields by typing # and searching for a keyword. For example, typing #number will show fields like cellphone number or ID number, which you can select and insert where needed.

Standard client fields

These fields are included by default:

  • First name and last name

  • Email address

  • Cellphone number

  • Client time zone

  • Opt out of notifications/automated messages

Steps to add a client profile field

  1. Go to Clients > Profile fields

  2. Click the + sign to add a field before or after an existing one, or click + Add field at the bottom of the page

  3. Select the type of field you'd like to add

  4. Click Add item For example: choose "Date"

  5. Rename the field appropriately e.g. Date of birth

  6. Add more fields if needed, or click Save when you're done

Reordering client profile fields

You can reorder your client profile fields by hovering over the dotted lines on the right side of any field. Click and drag the field to move it up or down the list
