How to add a booking policy to your Bookem account

Bookem allows you to set a booking policy for late cancellations, no shows, and other issues affecting your income from poor client time management.

Note: Bookem can only display this policy to clients; it cannot enforce it directly.

Here's how

1. Go to Settings > general preferences

2. Scroll down and toggle on 'Use a booking policy'

3. A box will appear where you can type your booking policy

4. Scroll down and click 'Save'

This will be displayed to clients when making online bookings via your public online booking page. Clients need to click to confirm that they acknowledge the booking policy.

Pro-tips

  • Set up an automated message for when bookings are marked as no shows to let your clients know what consequences they might be facing for not complying to your booking policy

  • When sending intake forms for bookings

Clients need to sign to acknowledge that they agree to the booking policy. The following needs to be clear in the policy added to the sendable form

    Late cancellations

Your booking policy must include and define what a late cancellation is eg. "Less than 24 hours before your consultation"

    No-shows

Your booking policy must include and define what a no-show is. eg "Cancelled less than 1 hour prior to start/ during booking time/ didn't show up with no prior communications"

Decide if you want to allow clients to cancel their bookings

  1. Go to Settings > General preferences

  2. Scroll down to toggle cancellation by clients ON/OFF
