How to use modifier codes in Bookem

Bookem allows you to specify adjusted healthcare services, like shorter treatments or co-treatments, by adding modifier codes to your base tariff codes. Each combination should be added as its own line item.

What are modifier codes?

Modifier codes like 008 or 009 are added in brackets after the main tariff code and usually change the price of the service.

For example, the code 72401 for a physiotherapist can be adjusted in multiple ways:

  • 72401(008) for shortened treatment

  • 72401(009)  for co-treatment

  • 72401 (009 008) for shortened co-treatment
